Commercials:
1. All requests must include a Purchase Order.
2. Advertisers must follow current policies and procedures when setting up accounts, applying for credit and/or negotiating payment terms.
3. Casa Editorial El Tiempo will provide a statistical report that includes the following: impressions contracted, impressions delivered and click rates.
4. A 10% surcharge will be applied to Rich Media ads that include expandable text, video and/or sound.
5. A 10% surcharge will be added to requests for additional segmentation such as country, city, days, hours and section requests.
6. All campaigns must be pre-paid.
7. The allocation of space is subject to availability at the time of the campaign launch.
8. The commercial deadline is 3:30 pm, the day prior to publication. Saturday, Sunday and Monday edition deadlines are 12:00 noon on Friday.
9. In the case of cancellations, an invoice will be issued for all published impressions, and a 30% cancellation fee will be applied over the total value of the remaining cancelled commercials.
10. The minimum notice for cancelling commercials is one week.
General Information:
1. Up to five ads may be managed per space.
2. A maximum of two changes may be made to the code or image during the length of the campaign.
3. The campaign lead time is a minimum of 5 business days.
Animation:
1. Banners must be a maximum of thirty seconds.
2. Sound is not permitted for banners on the opening page. RichMedia banners must contain the appropriate toolbars (volume, play, stop) to allow the user to adjust.
3. If the banner is expandable, it must use a RollOver. The maximum duration of the expandable banner is 60 seconds, and may contain sound that is activated when the banner is expanded. The banner must return to its original position when the mouse is moved.
Video:
1. The maximum size of the banner is 200K.
2. The banner is allowed to repeat automatically each time the video ends.
3. The banner must include user controlled audio tools such as play and stop, without redirecting to another site.
4. The video must begin without sound, and allow the user to activate audio with the above mentioned tools.
5. The target URL must be provided with your request.
6. The banner must be submitted in .swf format.
Multimedia:
Content Guidelines
Video Format for multimedia eltiempo.com: video clip in 320x240, maximum 20 seconds, in .avi format.
Audio Format in Multimedia eltiempo.com: 10 seconds in mp3. We offer recording services if required. “This audio section of eltiempo.com is sponsored by xxx".
Banner Advertising Format:
Home Multimedia 300x250 y 728x90.

Click on the Banner:
1. If a click over the banner will redirect to another site, this site must automatically open in a new window.
2. The Alt text must not exceed 35 characters, including spaces.
